TORONTO — The Canadian Culinary Federation (CCFCC) is preparing for its National Convention, which will provide a platform for speakers, food celebs and culinary competition as well as a spot to check out the industry’s latest products at its tradeshow and tasting event.

“We are presenting the most solid opportunity to conduct business with the culinary industry and the Canadian chefs that continually drive Canada to be among the world’s very best,” reads an online overview of the 47th annual event, which will run from May 31 to June 4 at Caesars Windsor in Windsor, Ont.

An opening “Golf Outing and Icebreaker” at the Essex Golf & Country Club in Windsor will kick off the week-long festivities that will feature Chef at Home star Michael Smith, Kathy Guidi, author and founder of the Cheese Education Guild, and international speaker Jon Taffer speaking on restaurant marketing. Restaurant design, growing coffee culture and sustainable seafood will be among the other topics discussed.
