TORONTO — Taiwanese bubble-tea chain, The Alley, opened a new location in Toronto late last month. Located on Bloor Street West, near The Annex, the new outpost joins 10 existing locations in Ontario.
Offerings include a range of hot and cold beverages, such as original brewed teas, milk teas, fruit teas, juices and specialty drinks. A unique feature of the brand is its handmade tapioca pearls, which guests can watch being prepared on site. The Alley also makes its own sugar-cane syrup.
The brand boasts more than 300 locations around the world, with a presence in Taiwan, China Japan, France, Australia, California and its first New York City location expected to open this summer. According to The Alley’s Canadian website, it’s also set to expand across Canada, opening locations in Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary in the near future.
