TORONTO — Nadia Di Donato, vice-president and creative director at Liberty Entertainment Group (LEG) has been recognized for her design work by LIV Hospitality Design Awards 2020 across three categories for two restaurant properties in Casa Loma. BlueBlood Steakhouse won for its interior design in the Historic & Heritage category while Don Alfonso 1890 won for its interior design in the Pop-up Bar/Restaurant/Lounge and Historic & Heritage categories.

Earlier this year, Di Donato was nominated for the Best Designer of the Decade award by design et al magazine and its International Hotel and Property Awards, where she was also shortlisted for Best Global Design in the Bar/Club/Lounge category for Liberty Group’s properties, Xango and Arcane.

“Once again I’m thrilled to be recognized on the international stage for our work at BlueBlood and Don Alfonso,” says Di Donato. “The LIV Hospitality Design Awards is the most comprehensive design program dedicated to the hospitality industry. It’s an honour to be named winner in three categories against such a level of competition, and I’m forever proud to represent Canada on the global stage with this esteemed award.”

Di Donato has been part of the Liberty Entertainment Group since its inception in 1987 and continues to create unique design approaches for each of the company’s venues.
