Toronto Restaurateur John Katsuras Dies at 60

TORONTO — Longtime restaurateur and nightclub impresario, John Katsuras, lost his battle with cancer on Sept. 28 at the age of 60.

Katsuras and his wife, Laura Prentice-Katsuras, opened and operated more than 20 restaurant-lounges in Toronto during the last three decades, including The Joint, Gus, Pan, Krush, The Liberty, Tazmanian Ballroom and Lolita’s Lust, among others.

Katsuras is survived by his mother, Voula Katsura, his wife and their daughter, Kevi Katsuras.
