Canadian Non-Profits Receive Chick-fil-A Grants

ATLANTA — Three Canadian organizations have been selected for the 2024 Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards grant program, including East York Meals on Wheels, Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada and Living Lakes Canada Society.

Recognized for their high impact and demonstrated care for local communities, Chick-fil-A awarded more than US$200,000 to further empower these local non-profits to lead positive change.

In the Toronto area, East York Meals on Wheels received US$125,000 to support its Café and Food Market program, which fights food insecurity by offering low to no-cost fresh and seasonal food, essential daily items and a range of services to assist low-income communities.

The Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada received US$50,000 for its Ignite the Spark program that supports children and youth to explore their passions and interests, while facilitating the building of identity, self-esteem and a sense of belonging.

Lastly, Living Lakes Canada Society in Nelson, B.C. received a US$30,000 grant for its National Lake Blitz program, which facilitates collaboration in science, education, monitoring and data collection for the long-term protection of Canada’s lakes.

Since 2015, Chick-fil-A has presented more than 300 True Inspiration Awards grants to non-profits in local communities, totalling more than US$27.8 million. The program was expanded in 2021 to include Canada and Puerto Rico in 2024.
