TORONTO — Cake, whipped cream, cookie dough and marshmallow are new confectionery vodka flavours heating up the Canadian beverage market, according to The Globe and Mail.

“It’s the sweetness, it’s the dessert delivery, and it’s what you can’t replicate as a consumer,” Holly Wyatt, director of Marketing for Toronto’s Kirkwood Group was quoted as saying by the paper.

The confectionery segment of the niche vodka market grew by 400 per cent last year, according to The Globe and Mail. Top five flavour categories are raspberry, citrus, whipped cream, orange and cherry.
