This year, the Dietitians of Canada Business and Industry Network (DCBIN) created a ‘Dietitian of the Year’ award. This award was created to recognize a dietitian who excels in the business sector. The recipient should be a great mentor, a ground-breaking dietitian in business and industry, innovative and a charismatic leader.
Our National President, Thomas Holzschuher, was the recipient of this award! An awards dinner and networking event was held in honour of the contributions that Thomas has made.
Thomas has been working more than 15 years as a dietitian. Thomas is currently Vice President Business Development at Burlodge Canada. In his current role at Burlodge and in his past roles, Thomas is not only a subject matter expert in his chosen line of business but he is also a fierce champion of the profession and in supporting others to do better. He comes to the table with a level of professionalism that includes a strong grasp of the technical and practical – a rare combination. His continuous quest to introduce current technology trends into healthcare is refreshing.
