EDMONTON — The Edmonton branch of the Canadian Culinary Federation (CCFCC) is holding their second annual Hot Competition Live, from Sept. 9 to 10, at the Edmonton Expo Centre, during the Alberta Food Service Expo.
Two days of competition will be held during the expo on the Alberta foodservice industry culinary stage.
With the goal towards promoting culinary excellence, chefs of all levels — from high school students to established head chefs — will compete using their own recipes and ingredients, in three categories; apprentice, professional and team. Meanwhile, the Edmonton branch of the CCFCC will hold its annual membership night Sept. 11 at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). The annual general meeting provides a forum for the Board of Directors to report to branch members on the past year’s business and plans for the future.
