LONDON — Ed Sheeran and Heinz Ketchup have teamed up to created 150 limited-edition Heinz Ketchup Bottles with Sheeran’s Heinz Tomato Ketchup Tattoo.
The release is part of Heinz’s 150th-birthday celebrations and each “Ed Sheeran X Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Tattoo Edition” bottle is hand signed by Sheeran and comes in a Collector’s Edition speaker box.
The first three limited-edition bottles were recently auctioned at Christie’s in London, with all proceeds donated to charities selected by Sheeran and Heinz — East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) and Rise Against Hunger respectively. The three bottles sold for £1,050, £1,100 and £1,500.
Additional bottles will appear in museums and given away to Heinz and Sheeran “super fans,” while the remaining 104 bottles will given away as part of a global online sweepstakes that runs until August 23. Though entry is free, the sweepstakes will also give participants the option to donate to EACH and Rise Against Hunger.
