TORONTO — Lactalis Canada is advancing its digital capability through Lactalis Labs (LLabs), a dedicated hub focused on digital transformation. As the company begins to explore Generative AI, a Data Science Centre of Excellence, digital ESG projects and Smart Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT), LLabs is expanding its scope to engage and collaborate with customers and partners in new ways.

Established in 2021, LLabs began as an internal intake platform to optimize processes and operational efficiencies. It has also evolved into a catalyst for the leadership and development of ideas into impactful solutions. This includes mentoring, driving and incubating project ideas from the company’s internal innovation program, NEXT Ventures.

“From making daily tasks easier to free up time to large-scale projects that enhance forecasting or enable automation, Lactalis Canada’s investment in digital transformation is about driving innovation and delivering value to our customers – internal and external,” says Mark Taylor, president and CEO, Lactalis Canada. “By embracing technology and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, we’re positioning ourselves for long-term success in a rapidly evolving digital world.”

“The next iteration of LLabs focuses on building digital solutions that not only serve our internal needs, but can benefit our partners, suppliers and customers across our supply chain,” says Dave Aeri, VP, Information Technology, Lactalis Canada. “We invite them to join us in partnership and co-development to solve highly complex problems and achieve mutual efficiencies and synergies that enhance our respective business operations.”
