“We would like to inform all our customers and fans that we have closed our Toronto location,” reads a post on M:brgr’s website. “Thank you to all our customers who have become fans of M:brgr. We hope you will come visit us at our Montreal location.”
The original concept saw Torontonians downing premium patties — such as organic, Kobe beef and Tuna — topped with premium ingredients such as brie, grilled salami and pulled pork, but it received notoriety for its $100 burger.
It’s unclear why the location was shut down, but fans speculate its big footprint may have been a contributing factor.
