RICHMOND, B.C. — Aburi Restaurants Canada is debuting its newest Miku location this summer at River Rock Casino Resort.
“We have many loyal guests who live in Richmond and with its proximity to the Vancouver International Airport, River Rock is an ideal setting for our second Miku location in Metro Vancouver,” says Seigo Nakamura, founder & CEO, Aburi Restaurants Canada.
The expansion to Richmond marks a significant milestone for Miku, which first opened in Coal Harbour in 2008 and later introduced its distinctive offerings in Toronto a decade ago. Known for its innovative use of West Coast ingredients alongside Japanese flavours, Miku is credited with pioneering and popularizing the now ubiquitous Aburi Oshi Sushi in Canada.
“We’re delighted to welcome Miku Richmond to River Rock as we continue to elevate our culinary experiences,” says Wayne Odegard, regional VP of River Rock Casino Resort. “Anyone who has dined at Miku understands the exceptional quality and artistry behind their cuisine. Miku is a fantastic addition to our dynamic entertainment destination and perfectly complements our enhanced offerings.”
When it opens later this summer, Miku will join the newly launched Gordon Ramsay Steak, Michelin-starred chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay’s first fine-dining restaurant in Canada, as one of the latest culinary additions at the resort. These openings are part of River Rock’s extensive enhancements in celebration of its 20th anniversary.
