New O&B Concepts Coming to Bayview Village

TORONTO — Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants (O&B) is set to open a new rustic Italian restaurant at Toronto’s Bayview Village in 2018 — taking over the space previously occupied by Origin North.

The restaurant’s menu will be driven by fresh ingredients and will feature timeless Italian fare, including a variety of handmade pastas, as well as a hearty selection of chops and dry-aged beef.

The concept will boast a large, lively dining room and intimate bar — offering an inviting venue for uptown foodies to let loose and indulge.

O&B also plans to convert the building’s second floor into a separate event venue. The loft-like private dining space will be available for both social celebrations and corporate functions.

On the same site, the company will also launch a “no-frills barbecue joint” offering a simple menu focused on Southern, slow-smoked meat, including brisket, ribs and chicken. The Canadiana-inspired, compact space will have a strong emphasis on take-out, while offering communal picnic-table seating and a small outdoor patio.
