HALIFAX — The Nova Scotia government has lifted the ban on in-person dining in restaurants and bars in Halifax, effective today.
On November 26, all restaurants and bars in the Halifax region were ordered to stop in-person dining, as the number of COVID-19 cases surged, but given the low case numbers in that region over the holidays, in-person dining resumes today across Halifax Regional Municipality and neighbouring Hants County.
However, owners of bars and restaurants must follow province-wide orders that include ending service by 10 p.m. and closing by 11 p.m. Takeout and delivery services can continue with no restrictions.
