VANCOUVER — Pizza Pizza’s CEO Paul Goddard will be one of the next execs to exchange his business suit for a company uniform in an upcoming episode of the new W Network series, Undercover Boss Canada.
Goddard assumed an alias and posed as a company trainee doing work he described to Postmedia as mentally and physically exhausting.
“The jobs were very challenging. It gave me a greater respect than I had previously for the amount of mental and physical stamina you require just to do well in any of these jobs, especially the ones where you’sre on the frontline working directly with the customers,” he told the news agency.
The Canadian incarnation of the American reality series, premieres Thursday Feb. 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on W, while the Pizza Pizza episode is set to air Feb. 9. Other foodservice-related companies to be featured this winter, include Molson Coors Canada (March 8) and Second Cup (March 15).
