SYDNEY, N.S. — Internationally renowned chefs are preparing for Right Some Good, a food fest, which runs from Aug. 18 to 26 on Cape Breton Island, N.S.
Chefs Chris Bell, Mariano D’Antonio and Alan Coxon and seven other chefs are among the toques preparing to attend the festival, where education is a part of the festivities.
“After experiencing the Right Some Good kitchen last year, I personally learned more in 12 days than I’ve accumulated in a career,” says Alain Bosse, the culinary director for Right Some Good.
The eight-day celebration showcases the island’s culinary landscape, through a series of cooking events, as chefs use indigenous Cape Breton ingredients. Each event is lead by an innovative culinary team comprised of a world-class international chef, a local chef and a promising apprentice.
Competitions are underway to select the finest apprentice chefs from across Canada and the most innovative local chefs from around the island. A list of international chefs who are participating can be found here.
