AJAX, Ont. — Smoke’s Poutinerie founder & CEO Ryan Smolkin has issued a challenge to senior executives, CEOs and presidents of various organizations to take him on in the first-ever Smoke’s Poutinerie Friends of We Care Charity Eat-Off Challenge this fall.

The event will take place during the company’s 7th Annual Smoke’s Poutinerie World Poutine Eating Championship on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016. The annual charity competition, which takes place at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto, has selected Friends of We Care as the organization it will support this year.

“Kevin Collins, executive director of Friends of We Care, is showing off a little of his Smoke’s Poutinerie weird, wild and wacky side by issuing me an Eat-Off challenge – so I accepted and it’s on… Please help me achieve my personal goal of raising $5,000, sending two or more kids to camp for 10 days, and watch me crush all the poutine I can handle in support of this amazing cause,” says Smolkin. He has also invited others to join the face-filling festivities to help send kids with disabilities to fully accessible summer camps.

Smolkin, Collins and all other participants will take the stage prior to the World Poutine Eating Championship, which will feature both amateur and professional competition levels, as well as free poutine for attendees, interactive games, prizes and live entertainment from Kiss cover band, Destroyer.
