SIAL to Return in May

MONTREAL — After record attendance in Toronto last year, the Salon International de l’sAlimentation (SIAL) is set return to Montreal at the Palais des Congrès from May 9 to 11.

Boasting more than 600 exhibitors from 40 countries, 13,000 food-industry professionals from around the world are expected to attend to experience food innovation while making international contacts.

SIAL features five exclusive events, including, Trends and Innovations, a contest to find the best in international food innovation; Olive d’Or, honouring the finest olive oil from more than a dozen global entries; The Coffee Cup, a quest to find the world’s best coffee; The Cuisine, corporate and research chefs vying against each other in a black-box competition; Pack Concept, a new event showcasing the latest in the packaging sector.

The director of SIAL Canada, Xavier Poncin, is excited about the salon’s growth. “After having an exceptional year last year, we can say that we’re well on our way to making the most of our return to Montreal.”

SIAL Canada is part of the international SIAL network comprised of five shows on four continents.
