TORONTO — Smart Serve Ontario has appointed Leslie Smith executive director of the organization, which provides responsible beverage service training to the Ontario hospitality industry.
“We are thrilled to have a leader of Leslie Smith’s calibre on board,” said George Schmalz, chairman of the Board for Smart Serve Ontario.“His background, experience and vision are clearly an excellent fit for this organization and for our plans moving forward.”
Smith has significant hospitality experience in operations and training at chains such as Lamplighter Inns (operators of Ontario Best Western properties) and D. P. Murphy Inc., which operates Tim Hortons locations, Wendy’s restaurants, Holiday Inn Express & Suites properties and Super 8 hotels in Eastern Canada.
