Winterlicious Returns

TORONTO — The holidays are gone, the diners are dwindling and restaurateurs are revving up, preparing for Toronto’s annual Winterlicious, which runs from Jan. 25 to Feb. 7 at nearly 200 of the city’s restaurants.

Among the restaurants taking part will be 22 from the Toronto Entertainment District Business Improvement Area (TOED).

Janice Solomon, executive director of TOED, believes the dinner discount event is good for business. “The Toronto Entertainment District has been welcoming Winterlicious patrons since 2003. It has proven to be a mutually beneficial program that encourages new diners to sample our member restaurants and consequently drive greater demand during a traditionally slower business period,” she said.

During the promotional period, diners can choose from three different prix-fixe price ranges ($15 lunch/$25 dinner; $20 lunch/$35 dinner; and $25 lunch/$45 dinner) at participating restaurants, including some of the city’s top restaurants, such as Auberge du Pommier, Bymark and Splendido Restaurant.
