“We looked to curate five new dishes to ring in the New Year and support diners’ health resolutions in 2020. Whether they’re on a Keto-friendly, plant-based or Mediterranean diet, our Livewell menu offers options that are 650 calories or less per dish,” says Todd Clarmo, executive chef, Charcoal Group.
The special menu features items such as California Shrimp Tacos with mango and black-bean salsa, guacamole, cabbage, “nasty” lime yogurt, scallions, cilantro and a petite garden salad; gluten-friendly Tokyo Slaw with gulf shrimp, chicken, angel-hair rice noodles, pineapple, carrot lace, edamame, red peppers, cabbage, sesame seeds, scallions, cilantro and spiced peanut dressing; and plant-based Massive Stuffed Meatless Meatballs with spaghettini, zucchini, red pepper, mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce and basil.
Charcoal is also serving several beverages to complement its Livewell 2020 menu, including a Blueberry Holy Basil Organic Kombucha. The company created its kombucha with London, Ont.-based craft-kombucha brewery Booch.
All Beertown locations and Sociable Kitchen + Tavern in Brantford, Ont. are offering the Livewell 2020 menu until February 8.
