TORONTO — Chef Mark McEwan’s gourmet grocery store, McEwan’s, is opening its third location at Yonge and Bloor Streets next month.

The 17,000-sq.-ft. grocerant will occupy the entire concourse level. By blending the restaurant experience with the grocery experience, McEwan’s will refashion food retail to become a culinary destination for local residents and visitors alike.

The store will showcase the best from across the McEwan Group alongside exciting new features including McEwan’s Café, Fabbrica Pizza, a carving station and rotisserie, a sushi bar, a hot and cold table, salad bar, a sandwich station and a dry-ageing room.

The carefully curated aisles will offer a convenient place to shop for specialty ingredients and pantry staples — from the diverse cheese and deli program to daily seafood deliveries, market-fresh produce and unique provisions.

“We bring our restaurant and catering knowledge into our stores,” says McEwan. “Our chefs make everything in-house from scratch, so why should a grocery store be any different? This will be a store with stories. Our executive chef, Shen Ousmand will bring his global experience to our daily hot table and chef de cuisine, Kris Topping brings his 20 years cooking experience to our prepared foods.”
