HALIFAX — Tim Hortons wrapped up its Share a Moment, Share a Coffee contest by awarding Joseph Mitchell, a Halifax resident, pastor and father of three, a $5,000 prize.
Throughout the month of September, the company invited guests to share their coffee memories by submitting texts, photos and videos. Ten finalists were selected by an online vote.
Mitchell’s heartfelt submission, which recalled special moments spent with his father, won over the judges.
The youth pastor is planning to pay his win forward. “Winning this contest means that I now have the means to share quality moments with dozens of young people in my community,” he said. “The beautiful, mentorship moments I had with Dad have multiplied a hundredfold.”
