Restaurants Canada has appointed Jillian Rodak to VP, Sustainability

TORONTO — Restaurants Canada has appointed Jillian Rodak as VP, Sustainability to lead the organization’s advocacy and education efforts in this area. Her first day is Apr. 15, 2024.

Prior to joining Restaurants Canada, Rodak worked at Deloitte Canada where she served as a manager on the Sustainability and Climate Change team. During her time at Deloitte, Rodak worked with clients across diverse industries, with a particular focus on clients in the food and consumer sector. She helped clients develop sustainability strategies and navigate through the complexities of emissions reductions, food and non-food waste management in their core operations and supply chains.

Before joining Deloitte, Rodak served as a project advisor at the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (now called Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks), where she supported the development of a social-equity strategy as part of the government’s Climate Change Action Plan.

“The opportunities and risks that sustainability represents to our industry at the federal, provincial and municipal level are significant and haven’t gone unnoticed,” says Richard Alexander, EVP, Government Relations & Public Affairs, Restaurants Canada. “After a diligent search, we’re confident that Jillian is the right person for this critical position and know she will make an impact for our members and grow our influence and membership across Canada.”
