Sprouts Without Launches Plant-Based Comfort Food Made with Beyond Meat


TORONTO — New Canadian food label Sprouts Without has launched its first range of plant-based, ready-to-eat comfort foods made with Beyond Meat, developed by chef Martin Daniels.

The lineup includes Sprouts Without Plant-based Meatballs, Sprouts Without Plant-based Chili and Sprouts Without Plant-based Bolognese. All items are exclusively available to the restaurant industry through Shalit Foods.

“Up until now, plant-based foods have been met with mixed reviews. We’re excited to offer consumers convenient plant-based comfort foods that taste just as good, if not better, than their meat alternatives,” says Ron Shalit, partner, Sprouts Food Corp. “Utilizing Beyond Meat as a core ingredient and incorporating our chef crafted blend of vegetables, legumes, super grains and seasonings definitely transforms the texture and takes flavour to another level.”

The lineup of products is expected to grow this year and into 2023.
