BRANTFORD — Williams Fresh Café is helping Canadians with their new year’s resolutions to trim down, by introducing new low calorie meals, as part of the café’s Healthy Resolutions program.

Williams now offers two new ‘Perfect Portions,’ which contain less than 600 calories each and are priced under $10.

As an added bonus, a free pedometer comes with each new portion, allowing guests to track their personal fitness habits while staying true to their new year’s resolution to get fit. Guests can choose a chicken or tuna ‘compac wrap,’ soup, apple, choice of green tea or water, and a pedometer.

Lauren McColeman, field marketing manager, Williams Fresh Café, says the Healthy Resolutions program is linked to social media channels, where guests can enter to win a trip to the Caribbean. “In addition to more fresh food choices, guests can take advantage of the opportunity to enter to win a trip for two to Turks and Caicos by ‘liking’ us on Facebook.”

The new program is part of the chain’s promise to provide healthier menu options. Corey Dalton, CEO Williams Fresh Café, says, “We’re proud to be evolving, with some future changes to include reducing sodium, offering gluten-free items and purchasing local and seasonal ingredients.”

Williams Fresh Cafe is a privately owned restaurant group headquartered in Ontario, operating in the fast casual segment of the restaurant industry.
