WINNIPEG — Dairy Farmers of Manitoba (DFM) has established the #LoveLocalEatLocal campaign to support restaurants affected by COVID-19 by advertising local restaurants and building a long-term customer base for Manitoba communities.

The campaign, which will run across Manitoba until the end of June, features variety of creative assets, including billboards, social and digital platforms, radio and transit shelters. #LoveLocalEatLocal will also include a contest to encourage Manitobans to show their love for local restaurants by ordering takeout or dining in (where permitted). Run exclusively by key influencers across Instagram, the contest gives followers a chance to win a gift card to one of the participating #LoveLocalEatLocal restaurants.

“Now more than ever, it’s important that we come together to support each other,” says David Wiens, Chair of DFM. “Just like Manitoba dairy farms, local restaurants are proudly owned and operated small businesses. We are proud to support local Manitoba restaurants that are so important to our communities.”

Participating restaurants include Sorrento’s Bar and Pizzeria-Grant, Le Garage, One Great City Brewing Company, Amsterdam Tea Room and Bar and more.

Concepted and executed by Toronto-based Humanity agency, digital and social-media planning and execution for the campaign will be overseen by The T1 Agency.
