Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley Celebrates Women’s History Month

PALO ALTO, Calif. — In celebration of Women’s History Month, from Mar. 2 to 24, Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is showcasing a series of desserts handcrafted by five women pastry chefs from different Four Seasons hotels at its afternoon tea at [esc] lobby lounge.

Women’s Month Afternoon Tea at [esc] is available every Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., priced at USD $70 per person. Guests will indulge in a selection of savoury and sweet treats, including a lobster roll with turmeric oil and celery leaf, a mini quiche with spinach and caramelized onion and a hazelnut sponge with milk-chocolate cremieux and cinnamon mousse. The team is also introducing a new jam display, including quince lemon, fig jam and lemon curd.

Each week, the hotel’s lobby lounge [esc] will spotlight one female pastry chef.

  • Week one: Maruschka Sotto, pastry sous chef from Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, will present the Tropical Tart, featuring coconut custard, calamansi gel and coconut meringue.
  • Week two: Anne Sophie Dubé, pastry sous chef from Four Seasons Hotel Montreal, will offer Hazelnut, Yuzu and Vanilla Chou.
  • Week three: Emily Zaleski, pastry chef de partie from Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, will showcase her creations from Vernick Coffee Bar and Vernick Fish.
  • Week four: Rhonda Ashton, executive pastry chef from Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole, will present her Mini Black Forest Cake inspired by her apprenticeship days in Australia.
  • All month: Courtney Persichitte, pastry sous chef from Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley, will offer a Dark Chocolate Bar with a Mocha Hazelnut Ganache.

Additionally, Quattro restaurant has collaborated with a female-owned winery to host a wine dinner featuring a selection of wines from Grgich Hills Estate Napa Valley. The dinner will be a celebration of women’s empowerment and will highlight the passion and talent of Violet Grgich. Her dedication to the wine business began at an early age, working alongside her father in the vineyards and cellar. She continues to play a key role in the daily management of the winery as well as sales and marketing, and is a strong advocate for the role of women in the wine industry.

Quattro restaurant is also hosting a cocktail class on March 15, highlighting iconic cocktails such as Cosmopolitans and Martinis, with mocktail versions included.

Lastly, the hotel is offering spa promotions throughout the month, including gift with services (60-minute massage or facial and receive a complimentary gift from Knesko and a dessert from Persichitte); gift with purchase (any purchase of women-owned retail items in the spa of USD $300 or more will include a complimentary gift from Knesko); and gift with body treatment (90-minute body treatment featuring Omorovicza and receive a complimentary Delicate Romance Body Souffle Travel Size).
