TORONTO — With National Takeout Day around the corner, Greenlid has introduced a new line of 100-per-cent compostable products.
With restaurants turning to more takeout and delivery over the past year, single-use takeout containers have become a larger sustainability issue in the industry. Greenlid’s line of products offers a range of compostable solutions to replace a number of these plastic items.
The line includes items such as custom-molded takeout containers, coffee cups, lids, wheat straws and birch cutlery. All Greenlid products are made with 100-per-cent natural materials and do not contain any ‘compostable’ plastics or bioplastics.
