VANCOUVER — Chef David Hawksworth’s latest restaurant, Bel Café, is now open for business, offering Vancouverites a taste of European-style café culture.The eatery is modelled after a tradition European café. “Pastries are baked fresh every morning, our beverage menu is distinctly artisan and the room itself is enchanting. I am truly delighted with the result,” said Hawksworth.
Described as charming, fresh, whimsical and fun, Bel Café’s namesake is Hawksworth’s wife, Annabel. The muse’s cravings for colourful, French macarons inspired the café’s jewel box collection as well as its pâte de fruits.
Bel Café is located inside the historic walls of Rosewood Hotel Georgia, adjacent to the acclaimed Hawksworth Restaurant, which was recently recognized as the best new restaurant in Vancouver by EnRoute magazine.
