MONTREAL — The first Canadian location of U.K.-based Time Out Group’s food-hall concept — Time Out Market Montréal — is set to open its doors on November 14.
The 40,000-sq.ft. food hall, which was originally announced in 2018, will feature a variety of food stalls, as well as three bars, a demonstration kitchen, a cooking academy, a retail shop and a “cultural stage.”
Some of Montreal’s top chefs, restaurateurs and mixologists will be featured within the food and cultural market, including Charles-Antoine Crête and Cheryl Johnson of Montreal Plaza; Normand Laprise of Toqué!; Claude Pelletier and Mélanie Blouin of Le Club Chasse et Pêche; Jeffrey Finkelstein of the bakery Hof Kelsten; and Paul Toussaint of Agrikol.
“Time Out Market Montréal will bring a unique experience to the city — we can’t wait to open our doors on November 14 and welcome our guests,” says Didier Souillat, CEO, Time Out Market. “We came to this city with a mission to bring the best of the city under one roof and we are incredibly proud that Montreal’s culinary who’s who accepted our invitation to join Time Out Market.”
The first Time Out Market opened in Lisbon, Portugal, in 2014 and the concept has since expanded to include locations in Miami, Boston and New York. The brand aims to continue international expansion, with plans in the works for Time Out Markets in Chicago, Dubai, Prague and London.
