TORONTO — On October 14, Mohamad Fakih and Massimo Capra launched their new MAS.E.MO Pizza concept out of Paramount Fine Foods’ Paramount Middle Eastern Kitchen on Yonge Street in Toronto. And, on October 16, two additional locations will open at Paramount locations in Burlington, Ont. and Midtown Toronto.

“As the weather turns cooler, Canadians are facing some long, cold winter months ahead, which means patios will be closing down and people will be opting for more takeout,” says Fakih, founder and CEO of Paramount Fine Foods. “We wanted to create a fresh take on an old classic and are excited for Torontonians to try MAS.E.MO Pizza during their next family night-in.”

For the concept, chef Capra created a one-of-a-kind pizza featuring halal only ingredients from Paramount’s popular Middle Eastern menu. The menu features eight pizzas ($15 to $20), as well as Caesar salad ($12), arancini ($10) and Laila’s Cheesecake ($6).

“We hope that Torontonians love our pizza just as much as we enjoyed creating it,” Capra says. “This concept is unlike anything we’ve created before and we can’t wait to share it with our guests.”

MAS.E.MO Pizza will be available for takeout and delivery and customers can order online at masemo.pizza.

MAS.E.MO is part of Paramount’s pandemic plan to broaden menu offerings and maximize the use of pre-existing spaces resulting in the new brands Box’d, Cloud Kitchen and Krispo.
