Rational, inventors of combination oven technology, recently assembled and shipped its 500,000th combi oven, a SelfCooking Center. The company marked the historic event with a company-wide breakfast in one of the manufacturing plants on the Rational campus in Landsberg am Lech, Germany.
“This marks a milestone for Rational worldwide,” said Louis-Philippe Audette, president of Rational Canada. “As the leader in cooking technology, we are very proud of this exciting accomplishment.”
The SelfCooking Center is a commercial cooking appliance that eliminates the need for manual input of time, temperature, or climate. The 500,000th unit, a 201 Electric Model SelfCooking Center was placed in the restaurant of Berlin’s famous Radio Tower, a historic landmark and popular tourist destination.Rational has been recognized with numerous awards for its production efforts including the International Best Factory Award in 2008.
