VANCOUVER — A&W Canada is launching new breakfast items featuring plan-based Beyond Meat breakfast sausage. The news was broke by social media influencers, including Canadian TV personality Jillian Harris.
The a new plan-based sausage patty, created by Beyond Meat specifically for A&W, will be featured on two new breakfast sandwiches — the Beyond Meat Sausage & Egger and the fully plant-based Beyond Meat Sausage & Veggie. The new items will be added to the menu at locations across Canada starting March 11.
This is the latest move for A&W Canada as it looks to cater to plant-based consumers. Last summer, the chain launched the Beyond Meat burger, which was well-received and sold out in weeks.
