WALLACE, N.S. — Fox Harb’r Resort’s Cape Cliff Dining Room has become Atlantic Canada’s first Ocean Wise-certified seafood restaurant.
“Chef Shane Robilliard and his culinary team have put together a seafood menu sourcing the freshest sustainable choices that can be found,” says Fox Harb’r president, Kevin Toth. “These include vegetables from our own greenhouses overseen by our horticulturist, Michael Steward. The dining experience is an integral part of the lifestyle at this outstanding resort.”
The Cape Cliff Dining Room also features local ingredients such as lobster delivered by Earl Chase of Chase’s Lobster Pound. Seafood is not the only menu option, however. “Our menu is varied,” says chef Robilliard. “We raise our own pheasants and we offer beef, chicken and proteins.”
Ocean Wise, a conservation program overseen by the Vancouver Aquarium, serves to inform consumers of ocean-friendly seafood products. The organization works with over 650 partners across Canada to ensure the health of our oceans through sustainable seafood choices.
