OTTAWA — The minimum wage has increased as of Apr. 1, 2024 across all four Atlantic provinces.
Newfoundland tacked on a 60-cent increase, bringing its hourly rate to $15.60, the highest in the region for now.
The minimum wage went up 40 cents in P.E.I. to $15.40 but an additional 60 cents will be added on Oct. 1, 2024, which will bring the island’s rate to $16.00.
New Brunswick increased its rate by 55 cents to $15.30.
The smallest increase is in Nova Scotia, a 20-cent hikes moved its rate to $15.20.
