TORONTO — On October 17, more than 75 restaurants in 19 Canadian cities will join together to donate proceeds from dinner service to Community Food Centres Canada, supporting community food programs that bring people together to grow, cook, share and advocate for good food. Funds raised at this year’s Restaurants for Change campaign will directly support low-income Canadians in more than 10 communities.

Many of Canada’s most celebrated and innovative chefs and restaurants have already pledged their support. The 2018 chef ambassadors include Matthew Batey (Teatro Group, Calgary), Nicole Gomes (Cluck N Cleaver, Calgary), Blair Lebsack (RGE RD, Edmonton), Ben Kramer (Ben Kramer Pop-up at NorWest Co-op Community Food Centre, Winnipeg), Lora Kirk (Ruby Watchco, Toronto), Carl Heinrich (Richmond Station, Toronto), Ryan Donovan (Richmond Station, Toronto), Marc Lepine (Atelier, Ottawa), Renée Lavallée (The Canteen on Portland, Dartmouth) and Todd Perrin (Mallard Cottage, St. John’s).
