OAKVILLE, Ont. — The Works Gourmet Burger Bistro has announced a new promotion —Baconism & Beyond. The limited-time offer includes two bacon burgers and one bacon appetizer, as well as two Beyond Meat burgers and one Beyond-menu appetizer.
“With the ever-changing eating habits of Canadians and knowing that typically at least one person in every social group or family is vegetarian, The Works has always ensured our menu is inclusive for all,” says Bruce Miller, president of The Works Gourmet Burger Bistro.
The Sugar, Spice & Everything Nice & Baconyfeatures a signature bacon-and-beef patty with candied bacon, jack cheese, onion strings and spicy-chipotle dip ($17.82). The second beef burger — the Gettin’ Piggier With It — features a bacon-and-beef patty topped with Canadian bacon, cheddar, smoked bacon, smokey barbecue sauce and crunchy onion strings ($18.32).
The WORKS will also offer two new plant-forward options, including the Beyond a Hipsters Wildest Dreams — a 100-per-cent plant-based Beyond Burger patty topped with caramelized onions, avocado and havarti cheese ($16.96). The second burger, the Beyond Sexy, features a Beyond Burger patty topped with sweet-and-tangy sauce, grilled pineapple, banana peppers and arugula, served on an all-new 100-per-cent plant-based bun ($16.47).
The bacon burgers will be served with maple-bacon Mozza Bites ($11.93) and the Beyond menu features an appetizer of Bravocado Bites — crispy, deep-fried avocado served with crispy tortilla chips and sweet-and-tangy sauce for dipping ($11.83).
